Blomidon Inn – Meeting & Gathering Place

The Blomidon Inn’s warm ambiance from the Victorian era provides the perfect setting for many occasions. Combine that with a warm knowledgeable staff, 33 overnight accommodation units, modern meeting facilities and a talented kitchen team and you have a great spot to host special occasions, meetings events and other personal and corporate gatherings. These could include an overnight getaway for the bridge club, a wedding reception, a luncheon meeting, a retirement dinner banquet, a training seminar, etc. etc.

At the Blomidon Inn we recognize that every special gathering or function is different. Innkeeper, Michael Laceby is also Blomidon Inn’s coordinator of functions. Further, Michael is a qualified Sommelier and he has assembled an extensive wine cellar at the inn. Just ask Michael to recommend wines that will suit your guests tastes and meet you budget.


Receptions are a great choice for those who want their guests to be able to mingle while enjoying canapés. Stand up receptions can be held in either of the Victorian sitting rooms, or on the terrace in season. Receptions can be arranged as a special event in themselves, or to enhance other functions especially popular as a pre-dinner treat.


Private banquets can be arranged for either lunch or dinner. Blomidon Inn facilities can seat 10- 50. Most are from 3 – 5 courses and include 2 – 3 choices for your guests. Wines can be included with a master bill or sold individually to your guests. The menu offerings for the banquet are printed on a personalized menu for your party. Wedding Receptions & Wedding Banquets

The Blomidon Inn is a great place for weddings. The character of the Victorian home and gardens lends itself well to the elegance of such a special occasion. We have space for small ceremonies in either of our sitting rooms. Larger weddings and wedding banquets are held in the dining room. See Banquets for more information. The Blomidon Inn can accommodate wedding receptions or “stand up receptions” for up to 150 guests. On nice days these are often hosted ceremonies on the terrace. Blomidon Inn Gardens are excellent venues for Wedding Ceremonies and Wedding Photos. While everyone is welcome to visit the Blomidon Inn Gardens, Wedding Photos are restricted to guests of the inn. There is a wedding fee. Unfortunately there are no facilities for dances.

The Medford Meeting Room can seat 18 board room style, 27 classroom style and 35 theatere style.

The Port Williams Board Room is adjacent to the Medford Meeting Room. It can seat up to 8 people around a round board room table.Lunch and coffee breaks for both meeting rooms can be arranged in the inn, on the terrace or on the verhanda with a pleasant town-country ambience.The following diagram shows the meeting room layout.
