Desserts at the Blomidon Inn
RESERVATIONS are recommended for lunch and dinner.
The Inn features a seasonal component of the dessert menu. In a typical year there is the “Festival of Strawberry Desserts”; “Valley Summertime desserts”; “Valley Harvest Desserts” and “Warm Winter Desserts”. There is also always a page of “Other Desserts”.
The inn’s desserts are all “hand-made” here at the Blomidon Inn. Further, the inn’s dessert menus are structured to feature local agricultural products as much as possible and local products are used whenever it is possible.
Chocolate Mousse Cake
With crème anglaise. Gluten Free.
With raspberry curd & fresh blueberries.
Lime Mousse Torte
With fresh berries. A light springtime dessert with ginger crust.
House Made Sorbet
Choice of house made sorbet topped with liqueur.
Vanilla or Strawberry Daiquiri Ice Cream
Topped with rhubarb sauce & served in an almond lace bowl.
Caramelized Strawberry & Rhubarb Cobbler
With dulce de leche ice cream.
With fresh rhubarb, an oatcake crust & topped with Blomidon sauce.
