Desserts at the Blomidon Inn
RESERVATIONS are recommended for lunch and dinner.
The Inn features a seasonal component of the dessert menu. In a typical year there is the “Festival of Strawberry Desserts”; “Valley Summertime desserts”; “Valley Harvest Desserts” and “Warm Winter Desserts”. There is also always a page of “Other Desserts”. These include Warm Gingerbread and Arctic Crepes. They are always on the menu as insisted by the inn’s local cliental.
The inn’s desserts are all “hand-made” here at the Blomidon Inn. Further, the inn’s dessert menus are structured to feature local agricultural products as much as possible and local products are used whenever it is possible.
Chocolate Mousse Cake
With crème anglaise. Gluten Free.
Served warm with lemon curd & whipped cream.
Traditional cheesecake with sweet nutty crust.
Topped with honey cinnamon glaze. Gluten Free.
Dutch Appel Taart
A tower of valley apples with shortbread crust
from a traditional Dutch recipe.
Pumpkin Crème Brulé
Baked pumpkin custard topped with caramelized sugar
in the traditional brulé style. Gluten Free.
Apple Praline Cheesecake
With granola crust & warm caramelized apples. Gluten Free.
Served with an oatcake.
